Before the summer hockey school
Catena Arena, Ängelholm
The hockey school is located in the Catena Arena in Ängelholm. There we will train, eat and stay during the whole camp.
Address: Catena Arena, Ishallsvägen, 262 54 Ängelholm. Click here for map.
Parking in front of the arena.
Not an authorized summer hockey school
As of January 2016, Maria Rooth Summer Hockey School is not an authorized summer hockey school via the Swedish Ice Hockey Association. This is because they only authorize associations, not companies. In practical terms, this means that the student is not insured by the Swedish Ice Hockey Association during the week.
Camp policy – The school open to all
The school is open to everyone to enroll in, where we only limit on number, age and gender.
Enrollment:
NOTE: This information may change closer to the start of school! Keep an eye out! (the same information applies to both weeks)
Registration takes place in the arena on the first day. At registration in the piazza (just inside the entrance doors) you will receive a t-shirt, schedule, accreditation and information about the week. Free ice time will be available during the enrollment day. Maria Rooth Clothing collection 2025 will be sold during enrollment, here you can pay with cash, as well as swish.
Accommodation to the boarding school at the arena where the students will live will be made at enrollment, possibly a separate time. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
Opening Ceremony:
We will have an opening ceremony in Catena Arena on the first day after enrollment.
Closure:
The closure takes place on the last day after the scrimmage. Parents are welcome to attend. The last group will be done around 15.00.
Food:
All meals of the week for students are served inside the arena in the restaurant. Most likely, we will also make sure that parents can buy lunch here.
Remember:
Blister patches and alvedon/iprene, fluid replacement, full equipment (except hockey jersey) and sticks (plus an extra one for off-ice training), SKATE PROTECTION, golf ball/wooden ball for off-ice, jogging shoes, training clothes, towel*2, rain jacket/umbrella, pocket money.
Changes to the groups:
The management of the Hockey School has the right to change the groups. This is done in consultation with the coaches, group leaders and the student. We ask parents to be lenient, we make decisions based on what we think is best for the student.
Grinding:
There will be the possibility of grinding during the week for a small fee. Make sure you come to camp with freshly sharpened skates! If you have new skates, we recommend that you try them on before the camp to avoid chafing and that you bring your old skates!
Boarding students:
Boarding students sleep in the arena in lodges overlooking the ice, or in other rooms in the arena. Adult hosts are available at the venue to look after the girls throughout the week. Their telephone numbers are available on arrival.
You need to bring a mattress (inflatable perhaps?) MAX 90 cm wide (preferably 80 cm), a fitted sheet, pillow, blanket/sleeping bag and your own small towel.
Maria Rooth Clothing Collection:
Inside the restaurant, we will have the Maria Rooth Clothing Collection for sale all week. The collection contains various products such as; hoods, zip-hoods, sweatpants, t-shirts, shorts, skate guards, bags, hats etc. The collection is aimed at a wider audience, yes everyone involved in hockey today who believes in #hockeyforall.
Cillas Café:
A café will be located upstairs in the stadium restaurant. There will be homemade pastries, coffee/tea, soft drinks, fruit, sweets etc. We love it when you come here to talk and socialize during the week!
