The hockey school takes place at Sannarpshallen, located within Halmstad Arena.
Address: Halmstad Arena, Växjövägen 11, 302 44 Halmstad. Click here for map.
Parking is available in front of the arena.

Non-Authorized Summer Hockey School
Since January 2016, Maria Rooth Summer Hockey School is not an authorized summer hockey school by the Swedish Ice Hockey Association, as they only authorize clubs, not companies. This means that participants are not insured through the Swedish Ice Hockey Association during the camp.

Camp Policy – Open to All
The school welcomes all participants, with restrictions only based on number of participants, age, and gender.

Registration:
Note: This information may change closer to the camp’s start! Check for updates!
Registration takes place in the arena on the first day between 14:00-16:00. At the registration area in the piazza (the wide corridor just inside the entrance), you will receive a t-shirt, schedule, accreditation, and detailed information about the week. Open ice time is available from 14:30-16:00. The Maria Rooth Clothing Collection 2024 will be sold during registration. Payment can be made with cash or via Swish. Participants staying overnight can check in at 17:45, with an option to drop off luggage between 15:00-16:00. Click here for a map to the school.

Opening Ceremony:
The opening ceremony will take place in the arena from 16:30-17:15.

Closing Ceremony:
The closing ceremony is held on the last day in the piazza. Parents are welcome to attend. The final group session ends around 15:00.

Baggage Drop-off and Pick-up at Klaraskolan (v 29) and Sannarpsskolan (v 31):
Drop-off: Monday week 29 Klaraskolan, Sunday week 30 Sannarpsgymnasiet (opening days) there is an opportunity to drop off your luggage at the school between 3-4pm, then again at 17.45.
Collection: Luggage is collected at Klaraskolan (v 29) and Sannarpsskolan (v 31) on the last day between 7.30-11.00 (absolutely no later than 11.00!). Feel free to ask your daughter to send a picture of her luggage (to you) and where it is in the entrance.
At the school, we do not want parents among the girls in the corridors (except when leaving luggage). However, it is perfectly possible to contact your daughter/daughters and meet them in the entrance. Respect this – we do this for the sake of the girls so that they feel completely relaxed inside the school.

Meals:
All meals for the week are served at the school, except for the snacks eaten in the ice rink. In the ice rink we have our own cafeteria in one of the corners of the ice rink where we sell fantastic sandwiches, coffee bread, drinks, sweets, fruit etc. to your parents/relatives on site.

Checklist:
Abrasion plasters and alvedon/ipren, fluid replacement, WATER BOTTLE, full equipment (except hockey shirt) and sticks (plus one extra for off-ice training), SKATE SHOE PROTECTION, golf ball/wooden ball for off-ice, jogging shoes, training clothes, towel*2, rain jacket/umbrella , pocket money.

Group changes:
The hockey school’s management has the right to change the groups. This is done in consultation with the coaches, group leaders and the student. We ask parents to be lenient, we make decisions based on what we believe is best for the student.

Skate Sharpening:
There will be an opportunity for skate sharpening during the week for a small fee. Make sure you arrive at the camp with freshly sharpened skates! If you have new skates, we recommend that you try them out before the camp to avoid blisters, and also bring your old skates with you!

Boarding Students:
Boarding students will sleep in classrooms at Klaraskolan (week 29) and Sannarpsskolan (week 31), approximately a 5-minute walk from the ice rink. Adult supervisors will stay at the school and take care of the girls throughout the week. Contact numbers for them will be available upon arrival. You need to bring a mattress (maybe inflatable?), bed sheet, pillow, duvet/sleeping bag, and a small personal towel to the school.

Maria Rooth Clothing Collection:
Maria Rooth’s clothing collection will be available for purchase outside the café all week. The collection includes various items such as hoodies, zip-hoodies, sweatpants, t-shirts, shorts, skate guards, bags, hats, etc. The collection is aimed at a broad audience – everyone involved in hockey today who believes in #hockeyforall.

Photos:
Individual photos with Maria and your coaches may be taken for those interested. The cost is 100 SEK, and the photos will be sent via email or other electronic means directly to the student after the camp. More information about this will be provided closer to the camp start date.

Cillas Café:
A café will be set up in one corner of the ice rink. There will be food and drinks available, such as sandwiches, hot dogs, homemade baked goods, coffee/tea, soda, fruit, candy, etc. We love when you come here to chat and hang out during the week!
